Lecturer, Pharmaceutical Chemistry

Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to curriculum development, innovation, enhancement and quality assurance in the undergraduate and postgraduate units
- Deliver innovative and excellent teaching, learning and assessment experiences for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Conduct original research, develop an active record of high-quality publications in the field and build a profile of grants and research student supervision.
- Participate in collaborations with other universities and with government, industry and/or civil society to drive research impact and educational excellence.
- Support the management of education, research and/or administration in the School through, for example, participation in committees.
- Undertake administrative responsibilities primarily connected with the units taught, including course review, admission, and accreditation processes.
Key Selection Criteria
- A doctoral qualification (PhD) or equivalent qualification in pharmaceutical/medicinal chemistry.
- Demonstrated ability to teach pharmaceutical chemistry and broadly pharmaceutical science in a university environment.
- Demonstrated ability to produce excellent research and supervision of undergraduate/Honours/graduate students.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with partners in universities, government and/or civil society.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in collaboration and teamwork.
- Proven ability, commitment and passion for engaging in scholarly and research activities/projects.
- A pharmacy qualification is an added advantage.
- An experience/understanding of global and Australian higher education in pharmacy and pharmaceutical science is an added advantage.
