The University of Findlay’s College of Pharmacy is seeking qualified applicants for a pharmacy practice position for a 12-month tenure-track faculty appointment in the Department of Pharmacy Practice. Candidates should be prepared to fully participate in teaching and scholarly activity in a curriculum devoted to promoting the collaborative practice of pharmacy. Classes are small and professors teach in an interactive manner in a team-taught integrated curriculum. Candidates should possess excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills, and be dedicated to student-focused education and innovative practice. Scholarly activity and service to the College and University consistent with a student-centered school are expected. These positions are available for the 2019-2020 academic year. Rank and salary are commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Individuals with experience in inpatient and acute care pharmacy practice are preferred. Primary teaching responsibilities may include the areas of infectious disease, nephrology, critical care, respiratory, cardiology, pharmacy calculations, and self-care among others in our integrated PharmD curriculum. Secondary teaching responsibilities may include instruction in the physician assistant program. Other teaching and advising responsibilities may be assigned based on department needs and instructor interest or expertise. Candidates should have earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and completed a PGY1 and/or PGY2 residency or equivalent experience. Eligibility for licensure in the state of Ohio is required and licensure is expected within the first six months of employment. Continued practice in the field of pharmacy is encouraged and expected.
