The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences invites applications for a Director of Assessment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a member of a developing innovative program. The candidate should possess excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills as well as a commitment to education and assessment. The Director of Assessment will work closely with the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Assessment in the School’s assessment efforts, improving curricular and program development and forging a culture of assessment and continuous quality improvement within the school. Specific responsibilities in this role will include guiding routine assessment activities, working with the School’s Assessment and Evaluation Committee, developing validated assessment measures, as well as managing processes for collection, interpretation and use of student learning outcomes data.

Requirements:
Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree
Applicants’ degrees may be in any area, however; preference will be given to health sciences, social/behavioral science, education or a related field as well as those who have statistical and analytical skills
Applicants must have excellent oral and written communication skills as well as organizational skills
Ability to develop and maintain effective and constructive collaborative relationships with faculty and administration in School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and throughout Binghamton University
Ability to handle multiple priorities and work independently and as an effective team member

Preferred:
Doctoral or Master’s degree
Experience in assessment and program evaluation in higher education is highly desirable
Experience designing, administering, and analyzing assessment instruments (e.g., rubrics, test blueprints, and surveys)
Experience with data management (data gathering or storage) or assessment software is a plus
Knowledge of assessment processes, student learning outcomes, quantitative and qualitative research design and measurements used in assessment with the ability to analyze large and complex data sets and generate aggregate and individual level reports is a plus
