Expertise: We have three research projects that aim to better understand molecular mechanisms of neurodegeneration. The goals of these projects are to

1. Characterize and exploit the adaptive immune response during Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.

2. Develop small molecule probes for intractable pre-amyloid oligomers for imaging agents.

3. Clarify the role of neurotransmitters and pigment aggregates during aging and neurodegeneration.
